The most beautiful yellow lab entered the World on January 6, 2009 and changed our lives March 13, 2009. Her green eyes and beautiful yellow hair draws you to her and her personality wins you over. She absolutely loves to play and could continue playing for hours at a time. She is very intelligent and learns quickly; she doesn't cross the street without the "okay" from her daddy. She loves her ice cream and only gets it from her Aunt Katie when daddy isn't looking! Michael, my brother and your friend, has spent a lot of time with her. He is the reason she is so talented and well behaved. It hasn't been all business though, she is his best friend. She has represented true love and unconditional love to him; something we could all use. She was there to consul him through break-ups and injuries. She is his running buddy, fish-cutting buddy and daughter. If you have ever had a pet, you can relate. Bailey is part of the family. All-in-all, she is the best dog I have ever encountered and most of you can agree. But, staying on topic, Bailey needs our help. March 6, 2010 she took a major fall. She was playing catch with daddy as usual which consists of dropping her toy from the 3rd floor of the lodge to the 1st or 2nd floor. She runs down the stairs to get her toy and brings it back to daddy on the 3rd floor. Today was different. As she jumped from the 5th step to the uncarpeted floor, she landed in pain with a very vocal response and her bone protruding from her back right leg. Michael and my mother rushed her to the Animal Emergency room for x-rays to find her bone is broken in half and will need special surgery to repair it with a metal plate with a cost estimate of roughly $3,000. The surgeon will not be able to operate until Monday at the earliest, so Bailey has been sent home with a dressing covering the wound and pain killers and antibiotics. She is resting now in a great deal of pain. Michael is 22 years old and doesn't have the monetary funds to pay for such a surgery. So, we are asking in faith that you will be able to help us. First and foremost, we need your prayers. Pray for relief of pain and the peace of my family, most importantly my brother, during this tough time. Secondly, pray that a surgeon will be found to perform such a surgery and that God will supply the money to fund the surgery as the hospital will NOT arrange a payment plan. We also ask that if you are able, in ANY way, to donate money to the cause; EVERY little bit counts. Share the story with your friends and family and pray God opens their heart and wallets.
